‘Republic of Balochistan’ releases vision document seeking international recognition of an independent Balochistan
New Delhi: A document titled “The Vision of Sovereignty and Development for the Republic of Balochistan” has been circulated by a group identifying itself as “The Republic of Balochistan.” The document outlines its political vision for an independent Balochistan and calls for international recognition of its sovereignty.
According to the document, the authors assert that the historical, legal, and moral ownership of Balochistan’s land and natural resources belongs exclusively to the Baloch people. It further argues that the region possesses a long civilizational history, citing the ancient Mehrgarh Civilization as evidence of early social, agricultural, and cultural development.

The statement accuses the Government of Pakistan and its military establishment of political, economic, and military oppression, alleging exploitation of Balochistan’s natural resources and describing projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as instruments of economic exploitation. It claims that the Baloch people are capable of independently managing their infrastructure, economy, and governance.
The document also contains claims regarding the current security situation in Balochistan, including assertions that significant portions of the territory are under the control of Baloch groups and that Pakistan’s military operations have become restricted. It further alleges that military force, including aerial operations, has been used against civilians. These assertions have not been independently verified.
Additionally, the statement expresses solidarity with Pashtun communities and refers to developments in Pakistan-administered Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, urging the international community to support what it describes as the aspirations of the Baloch, Pashtun, and Kashmiri peoples.
The document concludes with an appeal to India, Afghanistan, and the wider international community to recognize the independence of Balochistan and support what it describes as a vision of lasting peace, development, and regional prosperity.
