CMSB National Awards 2024 Honors Media and Public Personalities in Bengaluru

Bangalore – The 7th CMSB National Awards 2024 recognized excellence across various fields, including journalism, entertainment, and public service at a grand award ceremony held in Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry M V Hall, Bengaluru.

Legendary Educationalist and Communication Specialist Prof. Dr. B.K. Ravi, Vice Chancellor of Koppal University, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the felicitation address. The awards celebrated contributions to media and social causes, with notable winners spanning print, television, and digital platforms. In his inaugural speech Dr. B.K. Ravi said “Indian media contribution is vast and significant, we are recognized by all other developed countries. Today, Americans and other Westerners are coming forward to invest in the Indian media industry include film, technical, electronic and print media and other media related industries”.

Mrs.Sarah Fathima, Deputy Commissioner of Police Bangalore, Balakrishna C, Assistant Commissioner of Police, CMSB Chairman Mr. Bicky Bangari, All India General Secretary Mr.M.K.Jain, South India Joint Secretary Dr.Manjunatha T A were present at the dais during the inaugural ceremony.

CMSB Chairman Mr.Bicky Bangari and All India General Secretary Mr.M.K.Jain honored and presented the best IPS award of the year 2024 to Mrs.Sarah Fatima, IPS DCP, South Division, Bangalore for her excellence in the police service and best Police PRO of the 2024 award to Mr.Balakrishna C ACP, Cubbon park sub division, Bangalore for his excellence service in the police department.

Among the awardees, Dr Tariq Zaki, National General Secretary World Accreditation of Human Rights -(WAOHR-INDIA) was honored as the “Best Human Rights Activist 2024” award ,Sri Shivarama, Resident Editor (Metro) of Vijaya Karnataka, received the “Best Kannada Newspaper 2024” award, while Times of India’s Mr. Rakesh Prakash was honored as the “Best Mainstream Print Journalist 2024.” Sri H.V. Kiran, Crime Bureau Head from TV9 “Best Crime News Coverage in Kannada 2024 for his excellence in crime and awareness news to public and Sri Praveen Lingapura, Head of Public Movie Channel, was named “Best Electronic Media Journalist of the Year 2024.”

Public service recognition went to Sri Siddeshwarappa G.B., Joint Director of the Field Publicity Section, Karnataka who received the “Best Officer for Field Publicity 2024” award. In the medical field, Prof. Dr. Raghavendra B.S. was named “Best Neurologist of the Year 2024.”

In entertainment, actress Ms. Sharanya Shetty won the “Best Female Entertainer 2024” title, while Praana Animal Foundation was awarded the “Best Animal Rights NGO 2024.” founder and chairman of Praana & popular actress Ms. Samyukta Hornad received the award. The digital news space saw nanugowri.com and news editor of Bangalore News Network, Mr. Janardhana B N received the “Best Online News 2024” award.

Dr Prashanth V, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication & IQAC Secretary, Saint Paul’s College, Bangalore and Secretary General, Karnataka State Journalism and Communication Teachers Association, Karnataka participated as a special invitee, CMSB National Organizing Committee members Mr.Arun Agarwal, Mr.Akash Pande, Dr.D.Bhaskar Naidu, Jagadeesh M, D L Venugoapl Naidu, Dilip Jain, Dr.Jayakumar, Subhesh Kumar were presented join join their hands for the success of the award program. Ms.Sneha Bhati anchored in English and Ms.Supreetha Chakkere anchored in Kannada very beautifully.
