On 27.09.2025, acting on intelligence tip of, a joint team of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), WCCB and Forest Department conducted a raid at Jyoti Path, Bhetapara (Hathigaon), under Kamrup Metro District.
During the operation 01 No. Tiger Skin, 08 Nos. Deer Skins seized & 01 person arrested.
It may be recalled that earlier on 15.08.2025 & 07.09.2025, SSB had seized Wildlife articles and apprehended the culprits involved. Based on the interrogation of those wildlife offenders and coordinated intelligence gathered, today’s raid was successfully executed. This marks a significant achievement for SSB. Sashastra Seema Bal will continue to work in coordination with agencies engaged in combating Wildlife Crime and will carry out such operations in future to. Shri Sudhir Verma, Inspector General, SSB Frontier Guwahati, congratulated the team involved in the successful operation. He stated that this achievement was made possible due to reliable intelligence and effective coordination with agencies. He further emphasized that the SSB will continue to conduct such operations in future.
