Shri Amrit Mohan Prasad, IPS, Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal paid 02 days visit to the AoR of Frontier Guwahati. On 06.08.2025, he arrived at 31st Battalion, SSB, Gossaigaon where he was welcomed by Shri Sudhir Verma, Inspector General.
Thereafter, Director General expressed respect and gratitude to the brave martyrs by lying wreath at the Martyr Memorial. He took stock of the security scenario of the border and operational preparedness. During his visit, he interacted with the soldiers, understood their difficulties and gave necessary instructions. The Director General also visited the 15th Battalion, SSB, Kajalgaon and Sector Headquarters, Bongaigaon and interacted with the Officers and troops and reviewed border management.
Next day on 07.08.2025, Director General, SSB visited Frontier Headquarters, Guwahati. On his arrival at the Frontier Headquarters Guwahati, the Director General was paid Guard of Honour. He interacted with the Force personnel through Sainik Sammelan and listened their problems and assured them of timely redressal. The Director General emphasized on adopting a healthy lifestyle, physical fitness, sports and use of Modern Technologies in border management & development of border area. He also apprised about the improved Welfare Scheme implemented for the Force personnel.
Thereafter, he held a review meeting with Inspector General Frontier Guwahati and all Commanders in which he gave necessary directions emphasizing on issues like Technological and Structural Development of the Force as well as development of rural areas of the border etc.
During the visit, Smt. Shikha Prasad, President, SSB Wives Welfare Association, Sandiksha held a meeting with the Sandiksha families of Frontier Headquarters Guwahati and 1st Bn, Sonapur. During this, Smt. Rani Anuradha, Regional President welcomed her with Khada and bouquet.The Sadiksha President review the Sadiksha activities undergoing in Frontier and apprised about the Welfare Schemes being run for the Sadiksha families.
Shri Sudhir Verma conveyed gratitude to the Director General for visiting Frontier Guwahati and his guidance. Shri Neeraj Chand, Deputy Inspector General (Admn/Ops), Frontier Hqrs, Guwahati, Sh. Arvind Verma, Commandant (Admn), Frontier Hqrs, Guwahati, Sh. Sunil Kaushik, Commandant, 1st Bn Sonapur and other officers were present during the visit of the Director General.
