Somsubhro Sarkaar’s Next Big Move: A Global Cultural Project Rooted in the North East

The man and mind behind the powerful campaign #MyIdentityMyPride (#FundYourOwnWorth), and an award-winning Photographer–Director–Visual Storyteller, Somsubhro Sarkaar—who inspired women across India to discover and express their true voice—is now stepping into a bold new chapter.
He introduces his new visual philosophy, #GAZE—a space, as he describes, where perception transcends the ordinary. A dimension where he merges with space and time to see things seamlessly—almost like a third eye opening, allowing him to look far beyond the visible.
Inspired by his deep-rooted love for Bihu, he now turns his creative vision towards the North East—aiming to build something far more immersive, meaningful, and globally resonant.
While his earlier journey was driven by a singular creative force, this time he is joined by a dynamic team of strong, driven women—his very own “Charlie’s Angels.”
Joining him on this journey are a group of former corporate and advertising professionals:
Ruma Chakraborty
Bornita Deka
Sreelekha Maitra
Adding further creative strength to this collaboration is ace designer Dipankar Kasyap, known for crafting striking looks for Priyanka Chopra, Aditi Gowatrikar, Raima Sen, and Koena Mitra in Bollywood. Deeply rooted in the North East, with Assam as his birthplace, he has selflessly extended his support with immense interest—believing this to be a powerful project that can break long-held misconceptions about the region and take its true essence to a global platform.
Further amplifying this vision is the support of Assam’s pride, Jutikaa Mahanta, founder of a renowned Bollywood PR and social media firm. With a deep commitment to North-East women and the global representation of its rich cultural heritage, she has extended her support to take this initiative to the next level.
In her words:
“Any support to see the North East on a global platform is always welcome.”
Together, this powerful convergence of creative, corporate, and communication forces is set to shape a compelling global narrative—one that will carry the culture, artistry, and spirit of the North East onto the world stage.
