Guwahati: ALLEN Guwahati Centre organised ‘Zubeen Garg Divas’ at the ALLEN Guwahati campus, celebrating the enduring legacy and immense contribution of Assam’s beloved musical icon Zubeen Garg.
The programme commenced with a special flower-offering ceremony at the campus. Team members along with students, came together to express their deep respect and affection for the legendary artiste.
As part of the programme, students and members of the ALLEN team offered flowers and remembered Zubeen Garg through his iconic song ‘Mayabini’, creating an emotional and memorable moment at the campus.
The programme began with an offering of the Nahor plantation to the Zonal Head of the institute, symbolising respect and remembrance on the occasion.
The programme aimed to familiarise students with the life, music, artistic journey and immense cultural contribution of the beloved icon, while encouraging them to connect with and appreciate Assam’s rich musical heritage.
Through ‘Zubeen Garg Divas’, ALLEN Assam sought to create a meaningful platform for students to learn about an icon who made an indelible contribution to Assamese music as well as Bollywood and culture whose songs continue to resonate deeply with generations.
