On 15 April 2025, the Bihu festival, considered to be the symbol of the soul and culture of Assam, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Sashastra Seema Bal, Frontier Headquarters Guwahati. The program was started by Shri Sudhir Verma, Inspector General by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, Shri Sudhir Verma extended his heartfelt greetings to the local people, Force personnel and their families. Throwing light on the importance of Bihu, the Inspector General said that this festival is a symbol of welcoming the New Year, good harvest and progress & happiness. In the programme, local people, Force personnel and their families presented a grand cultural program which showcases the rich cultural heritage of Assam. Sandiksha family members participated enthusiastically in the programme in the presence of Smt. Rani Anuradha, Regional Sandiksha President. There was an encouraging presence of local people in the programme. There was also a commendable presence of officers, personnel and their families of 1st Bn SSB Sonapur. During the programme, Shri H.B.K. Singh, DIG (Admn), Shri Neeraj Chand, DIG (Ops), Shri Arvind Verma, Commandant (Admn) other Officers and Force personnel were present.
