DreamWave Studio Owner Banjoyoti Kaudinya Denies Land Allegations, Calls Claims Baseless; Warns of Legal Action.

Pankaj Nath, Assam, 29 October :

Banjoyoti Kaudinya, owner of the Assam well‑known Dream Wave Studio, on Thursday strongly rejected land‑related allegations linking him and the wife of ACS officer Munindra Nath Ngatey to property disputes. Speaking at a press conference at the Guwahati Press Club, Kaudinya called the charges made by leaders of the regional political party ‘Raijor Dal’ “false and misleading” and said they aim to tarnish her reputation. Kaudinya told reporters that DreamWave Studio has no commercial or administrative connection with Munindra Nath Ngatey or his spouse. He acknowledged purchasing a small parcel of land in Noonmati in his personal capacity and confirmed he had paid an advance for that purchase. However, he said the seller accepted another advance from a third party and failed to return his payment, prompting her to pursue legal remedies. The matter is currently pending before the Gauhati High Court, he added.“That land has no link with DreamWave Studio,” Kaudinya said, stressing that the studio is a cultural organization and not involved in real estate or construction saying there is only a cultural entity registered as DreamWave Studio and no PAN‑linked or registered land documents under the studio’s name. While he acknowledged using the DreamWave name for film production and cultural events, she said this should not be interpreted as evidence of any landholdin or construction business under the same name. Kaudinya described himself as a hardworking Assamese entrepreneur who built her business from scratch and appealed for fairness. “If I am ever proven to have engaged in illegal activity, will accept responsibility,” he said. “But I will not accept the mental agony caused by false allegations from anonymous sources.”He publicly challenged the two Raijor Dal leaders who raised the issue at a Wednesday press briefing to produce the documents they cited. Kaudinya warned that, following the party’s press conference, he will pursue strong legal action against the dissemination of false information and defamatory statements that have harmed his social standing. Kaudinya said he will file cases soon against individuals who she alleges have disturbed her peace of mind and damaged her reputation. He did not provide further legal documents at the press conference but reiterated that the Noonmati land dispute is a personal matter, legally contested in court, and not connected to DreamWave Studio. He further told that even though there was an existence of a DreamWave Construction not even a single piece of land is purchased in it’s name.
